My inlaws have been married for 60 years. Yes! 60 years. In an age when the average marriage lasts no longer than 8 years. What an incredible achievement. At the anniversary celebration party I was amazed to see how many generations their lives had touched.
What has been taken away from our society? what is missing? what is the secret ingredient? Is it simply Love or is there something else. Do we live in a throw away society that see people as throw away items that can be disposed with after a period of time. Maybe we should make an effort and look for that special ingredient. The longevity of marriage that creates stable families and lasting Love.
