Sit and relax. Allow your mind to wander back to a time when you were so so happy. See yourself in that time. See the colours around you and turn them up. Hear the sounds around you and turn them up. Turn the image up inside of you. Allow the feeling of happiness inside of you to grow and grow . (The chemicals released by the brain when you are in a state of happiness will be released andyour mood will improve.) Float back to the present and you will notice that your mood will have improved. Repeat the exercise as often as you can and your mood will improve with each occasion.
Always remember that each and every situation can be faced and overcome, no matter how daunting it may seem. You will look back in years to come and feel proud of your achievement, you faced your worst situation and you were able to overcome it.
